Earthquake

Today I had my first encounter with an earthquake. Living in Japan, earthquake happens every now and then. However today wasn’t really strong at all. It was just as if you’re sitting on a washing machine for 5 seconds. As I was browsing the internet having my laptop on my lap, I barely felt my laptop was shaking a little bit. I thought it was because of my feet stretching out the muscle after 1 hour standing in the train, but as I heard my friend screaming in amazement across the hallway I knew there’s something special going on. He was thrilled because of the earthquake. As for myself I felt a bit thrilled and worried.
During the time of Rasulullah (pbuh), His face would change due to His extreme worry whenever the sky got darken. He (pbuh) and the Companions would rush to the mosque and remain there begging for Allah to spare them from any torment until the the sky returned clear. Their faith towards Yaum ul Qiyamah overflowed them so much that they believe with strong certainty without any doubt.
So then I ponder on myself how strong the earthquake need to be before I really start believing on ‘When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion [99:1] ,’ Probably I should prepare my eeman before the next earthquake occurs.
earthquake = jishin (in japanese)
